2026–2027 Academic Calendar

Academic Year Overview

The 2026–2027 academic program includes 32 instructional weeks and 96 live class days. Classes meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The school year begins August 31, 2026, and concludes May 20, 2027. The May dates provide makeup instruction for scheduled school closures, ensuring that students receive the full amount of planned instructional time.

Makeup & Instructional-Time Policy

The Gentry School is committed to providing the full amount of planned instructional time for every course. When a regularly scheduled class is canceled because of a school closure, holiday, emergency, or instructor absence, the missed meeting will be added to the end of the academic year. The period from May 3 through May 20, 2027, is reserved for makeup instruction. No Saturday makeup classes will be scheduled. Unexpected cancellations beyond the scheduled closures may require the academic year to be extended.

Grade 3 Mathematics: 9:00–9:45 AM

Grade 3 Science: 9:55–10:40 AM

Grade 4 Mathematics: 10:50–11:35 AM

Grade 4 Science: 11:45 AM–12:30 PM

Grade 5 Mathematics: 1:00–1:45 PM

Grade 5 Science: 1:55–2:40 PM

Secondary Track

Algebra I: 9:00–10:25 AM

Biology: 10:35 AM–12:00 PM

Chemistry: 12:30–1:55 PM

Secondary students may also be invited to virtual office hours between 2:00 and 3:00 PM Eastern for additional support, feedback, or conferences. Office hours are scheduled by the instructor and are not an additional regularly scheduled class meeting.
