Small Classes. High Expectations. Real Belonging.
Live, virtual math and science instruction for curious, capable students who want more depth, more challenge, and a place where their thinking is welcome.
What The Gentry School Is
The Gentry School is a values-centered educational organization built for students who think deeply, ask questions, and want to be challenged — not just kept busy. We believe rigor and warmth aren’t opposites. Our students are known, not just enrolled.
We welcome gifted learners, academically advanced students, and high-potential, creative, and curious minds. Formal gifted identification is never required — we look for curiosity and readiness, not a test score.
Based in Jacksonville and Orlando, Florida, The Gentry School currently delivers every course live online — open to students anywhere — with select in-person experiences planned for both cities in the future.
Introducing Gentry Academy of Mathematics and Science
Gentry Academy of Mathematics and Science — an academic program of The Gentry School — is where this shows up in the classroom. It’s our live, virtual math and science program for students in grades 3 through 12, built around small classes, real dialogue, and instruction that respects how advanced learners actually think.
Current Course Categories
Our 2026–2027 course lineup is live and enrolling now:

Additional courses, camps, and enrichment experiences are in development — anything not listed above is not yet open for enrollment.
How the Learning Experience Works
Every class is live and virtual — not pre-recorded, not self-paced. Your child learns alongside a small group of peers, with real-time discussion, questions, and feedback from an instructor who knows their name.
We keep class sizes small by design. Every course is built to stretch students intellectually while keeping the classroom warm, respectful, and genuinely engaging.
The Gentry Method™: Inquiry, Innovation, Impact
Our teaching approach rests on three ideas:
Inquiry — Students learn by asking real questions, not just answering them.
Innovation — Lessons make room for creative thinking and original problem-solving.
Impact — Learning connects to something that matters, so it sticks.
Underneath these three pillars is FLOW — the learning framework that supports exploration, creativity, executive functioning, reflection, and meaningful application in every class.
Who This Program Is Designed For
Gifted and academically advanced learners
High-potential students who haven’t been formally identified but need more
Creative, curious kids who ask “why” more than most
Students who need more depth, more challenge, more connection, or more confidence in math and science
You don’t need a gifted label to belong here. You need a child who’s ready for more.
Meet Our Founder
The Gentry School is led by Lashantah D. Braswell, M.Ed., an educator with more than two decades of experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, and supporting gifted and high-potential learners. Her work has helped students gain admission to top private, magnet, and Ivy League institutions — and she built The Gentry School to bring that same level of rigor and care to families looking for something more.
School Partnerships
Are you a private school, charter, microschool, or educational organization looking for a math or science instructional partner? The Gentry School partners with schools to bring the same rigorous, engaging instruction to your students.
